She stressed that the TV tower on the street Nometnu, 62 Stroyeva has not acknowledged the threat. On 22 February, the building inspector conducted a visual inspection in the jurisdiction of Stroyprofi do not include the assessment of technical condition of buildings.

The building inspector came to the conclusion that visually, the structure is in poor condition, anti-corrosion coating on all metal parts and peeling of the connecting elements is covered with a thick layer of rust.

In the opinion of the inspector, the tower is in pre-failure condition and its further exploitation may become a threat to local residents and nearby houses. In addition, Stroyeva believes that the tower is degrading the urban environment and landscape.

The report on the technical condition of the building the owner must submit to Building management until 31 March.

LETA on Thursday failed to get a comment from the owner of the tower on the conclusion of the expert Stroyprofi and further action.
According to the information the Land registry, LLC "RNR Ltd" acquired the building and land in 2013 for 100 thousand lats (142 euros 286).
Tower in Agenskalns next to the then Latvian television Studio was built in 1955 and was the first TV tower in Riga. After getting the TV moved to the Zaķusala, the tower is no longer used for its intended purpose. In recent decades it was used by private enterprises for the provision of data services.
