Currently in Latvia on a rotational basis are the soldiers of the U.S. army, and previously in the strengthening of security of Latvia was attended by soldiers and other NATO countries. In late February, the commander of the National armed forces Raymond Graube told LETA that his soldiers in Latvia, may lend itself well as Germany and the Czech Republic.

The UK also announced that it intends to send about 100 soldiers to the Baltic States. According to Grube, in Latvia they can arrive in the first half of this year.
