  • Russian rock musician, leader of the band "Mumiy Troll" Ilya Lagutenko became an honorary citizen of Vladivostok. This decision was taken by majority of votes the municipal Duma of capital of Primorye. The initiator of the assignment of the honorary title was made by the far Eastern Federal University.

    Russian rock musician, leader of the band "Mumiy Troll" Ilya Lagutenko became an honorary citizen of Vladivostok. This decision was taken by majority of votes the municipal Duma of capital of Primorye, said on Thursday, April 28, TASS.

    "It was opposed by only two [deputies]," he said in the Duma.

    Assign Lagutenko honorary title offered in the far Eastern Federal University (FEFU). The University recalled that the musician has graduated from the faculty of Oriental studies, far Eastern state University, which is now part of the University, on specialty "area Studies" and actively maintains constant contact with his Alma mater.

    "In 2011, he [Lagutenko] signed a cooperation agreement with far Eastern Federal University, which in particular is implemented in the framework of annually held in Vladivostok, the international festival V-Rox, where are the student groups," explained the initiative at the University.

    "Mumiy Troll is a Russian rock group founded in 1983 in Vladivostok by Ilya Lagutenko. Represented Russia at the Eurovision song contest in 2001 (ranked 12th place).
