The phenomenon of the Ukrainian singer of Crimean Tatar origin Jamala "New wave-2009" in Jurmala had the effect of fireworks — nobody doubted that it is an absolute favorite of the competition. And so it happened. Later Latvian Director Victor Vilks took the original video for the song Jamala "In the autumn of your eyes". Very soon, Latvia will again see the singer on tour in support of her the song "1944", held in the semi-final of the international contest "Eurovision".I believe in Ukraine, but to catch up with developed countries we need something to go by leaps and bounds, and literally fly on all legs.
At the writing of the song Jamal was inspired by a story her great-grandmother about the tragedy that happened to the Crimean Tatar people in 1944-m to year. 37% of the audience voted for the performer, despite the fact that the jury, with the participation of Konstantin Meladze and Andrey Danilko (Verka Serduchka) chose their favorites from other artists. And yet the final victory was awarded Jamale, as the competition with equal total points the winner is the player who attains the most points based on the voting viewers.
