Both companies have agreed to cooperate on the development of container transport from China to Northern Europe and begin the development of new routes of multimodal transportation through the port of Riga in Scandinavia and the UK.
Currently, not only gradually increasing the volume of railway cargo transportation from China to Belarus capital Minsk, but Belarusian colleagues we are actively working to develop a new logistics hub, connecting Minsk and Riga, to form a regular schedule of daily traffic and thus reduce transit time and costs of transportation in the Scandinavian countries, indicates the LDz President of the European Commission. Moreover, in the region of Latvia currently has the most developed infrastructure, which allows effectively and quickly to transport goods between China and Europe, and the agreement concluded with "LDz Loģistika" will provide an opportunity to develop this cooperation.
This week at a meeting in the German office of the company "RTSB" guide "LDz Loģistika" and "RTSB" we agreed to begin active development of new routes between Riga port and the largest ports of Scandinavia and great Britain, creating a new multimodal solutions "one-stop" for clients from Europe and from Asia, including China.
Prospects of development of container transport is clearly indicated by results of "LDz Loģistika" already in the first six months of 2017. In just the first half, the company transported 29% more containers than during the same period, last goal. It continues to focus on attracting new clients and partners for further development of this segment.
