The Director of the Bureau Peteris Drakis said in an interview with the newspaper Neatkarīgā that the front wall of the circus was separated from the building and holds on only thanks to an external staircase.
Answering the request of the Ministry of culture, representatives of the Bureau acknowledged that the new circumstances associated with the risk for society, not detected. Riga circus continues the execution of works related to the security of the building. In particular, it is planned to dismantle the armature of a contact network and strengthen the facade.
In January this year, began design work to prevent the risk of deformation of the façade of the circus. These works can be done only after the wall of the building will remove the fastening pin suspension. It is planned that in the first half of this year, the façade of the building will strengthen. Riga circus signed a contract on construction works with the firm Būvkore, which until the end of March needs to develop a project.
