Zorin was born 9 Feb 1925 in Moscow. In 1948 he graduated from the Institute of international relations of the MFA of the USSR and was sent to work as a columnist for the International Department of all-Union radio.

Since 1955, the Deputy chief editor of "Latest news", radio "Mayak", since 1965 — the political observer of Central television and all-Union radio.
