Currently in the KHL are 27 clubs from seven countries — Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Latvia, China, Finland and Slovakia. Informed the Agency "R-Sport" reported that at the end of season-2017/18 three clubs leave the League. According to the Chairman of the Board of Directors of CHL Gennady Timchenko, the League will "get rid of inappropriate regulations of the clubs and to attract high-quality clubs".
What clubs leave the League, is still unknown. Last year the CHL was eliminated Novokuznetsk "metallurg" and Zagreb "Medveščak".
The following season, or in season 2019/20 League can replenish Tashkent club "Binokor". Since the end of January in the capital of Uzbekistan is the construction of the ice complex "Humo arena", designed for 12 thousand spectators in the "hockey" version. The completion of the Palace is scheduled for autumn 2018.
The financing of the club may engage one of the structures, an international oilfield services group ERIELL is one of the partners of the KHL, which is actively working in Uzbekistan. The owners of the company interested in the appearance of the club in the KHL, but the negotiations between the Uzbek side and the League will start only when it becomes known the exact date of delivery "Humo Arena" in operation.
