He expressed hope that Georgians, Ukrainians and the Kosovars can travel without visas to EU in 2016 because, as he put it, "they did their job."
According to Khan, Ukraine fulfilled its obligations, which give its citizens the right to visa-free entry to the EU.
He recalled that Tbilisi and Kiev received a positive recommendation for establishing a visa-free entry.
"Of course, I'll require a political solution. But from the point of view, so to speak, of the standards they did what was necessary," he said.
The European Council and the European Parliament have to approve visa-free entry for Ukraine, Georgia, Kosovo and Turkey.
Earlier it was reported that Turkey abolished the visa regime with EU countries.
