Both companies signed a cooperation agreement, under which LLC "LDZ ritošā sastāva serviss" initially, if necessary, will ensure the repair of freight cars "United wagon company" in the territory of Latvia, and in the future plans to promote the jointly produced products, e.g. components and contrailers, in the markets of Europe and Scandinavia.

In recent years, "United wagon company" is increasingly looking toward the Baltic region, and commended the interest shown by the Latvian colleagues to joint cooperation. This company is rapidly growing and intends to continue its development in the future, said the Deputy CEO for technical development, Dmitry Losev, adding that the cooperation will be beneficial to both parties.

In turn, the Chairman of the Board of "LDZ ritošā sastāva serviss" Edgar Abrams praised the achievements of Russian engineers, putting at the same time that the Latvian experts are positive about opportunities for development and joint activities.

The holding "United wagon company" includes six companies in the rail sector and research centre, are engaged in manufacturing, transportation services, engineering technology, operational leasing and maintenance of freight wagons of the latest generation. In an average year the company produces 22 thousand cars, a turnaround which reaches 800 thousand kilometers. In the CIS countries, the company owns approximately 60 service centers and over 300 registered patents.
