Budda Power Blues appeared on the scene in 2004 as a pilot project, which combines three musicians – Buddha (vocals and guitar), Nico (drums) and Pedro Ferreira (bass). They played improvised music without any commercial purposes. However, the band soon gained an unexpected success. They made their first record in 2005 called Wanted. In 2008, they made the following entry is Busted. The group is still most popular among connoisseurs, thanks to a difficult song, and also the incredible ability to improvise, which will not leave indifferent any listener.
The group has the title of "Best Portuguese act". Budda Power Blues plays extremely strong and high-quality Blues, inspired by the legends of rock music of 70-ies. The energy, enthusiasm and involvement of the public – the distinctive features that characterize the band. Musician Buddha is a virtuoso guitar, listening and watching which is a pleasure, and at the same time to remember Jimmy Hendrickson, ZZ Top and Led Zeppelin.
In 2013 the band released their fourth album, which also includes their own original songs and lyrics. Critics and fans of the band called the album One in a Million the best album. Musicians perform at all the Blues festivals in Portugal and even the critics call them, perhaps the best Blues group in Portugal. As a musician, the Buddha recognized as the best bluesman in the country.
