For the resolution voted by representatives of 71 countries, 25 voted against and 77 abstained.

At the end of November Ukraine submitted to the UN updated draft resolution on human rights in Crimea. In it, in particular, calls to immediately lift the ban the activities of Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people and the Declaration of his extremist organization, as well as to revoke the decision on prohibition of entry in the Crimea leaders of the Majlis.

The resolution also indicates the need for education in Ukrainian and Crimean Tatar languages and access to the Peninsula international organizations. In December, the document must be submitted to a direct vote of the UN General Assembly.
