The survey asked respondents to answer whether dangerous for the United States, Russia, China, Iran, North Korea and terrorist group "Islamic state". The respondents to choose were given four possible answers: it is "very serious threat", "moderately serious threat, a small threat" and "absolutely not a threat".
As a result, about 21% of the respondents expressed the belief that Russia poses to the U.S. "very serious threat"to .40% of respondents believe that Russia poses to the USA "moderate" threat, while 22% of Americans believe that "small".
Thus, a total of more than 80% of Americans believe that Russia comes a certain danger. 15% of respondents said that there was no threat to the United States, Russia is not. Another 1% of respondents could not answer the question.
For the past six months, Russia's image in the eyes of Americans has improved somewhat. In October 2015, 31% of respondents called Russia a "very serious threat" to the United States.
Most Americans are worried about ISIS. The highest degree of danger posed by militants has seen 73% of the citizens, "moderately serious threat" — 17% of respondents, "small" — only 5% of survey participants. Another 5% of Americans called terrorist group "safe" for the United States.
"Serious threat" from Iran, China and North Korea, see, respectively, 43%, 24% and 43% of respondents in the United States. "Moderate" this threat called 34%, 42% and 31% of survey participants, the "small" people thought it was 13%, 17% and 14% of citizens, respectively. The survey was conducted by telephone among 1011 U.S. adults from April 28 to may 1. The error is not more than 3%.
