According to her, the specific TV channel in Latvia is not registered, and the only serious restriction, according to the directives of the European Union, a ban on retransmission.

"Those channels that are registered in Latvia are regulated by, the violations are recorded, the enterprise be punished, but violations none the channel is not blocked," explained Dylewska.

"So I want to stop speculating about what SACMI censorship", — said the head of the Council.

She also said that the SACMI had proposed to the representatives of "Russia RTR" to register a TV channel in Latvia. This should facilitate communication and work parties.

As previously wrote the portal DELFI, SACMI has decided for six months to restrict the retransmission and distribution in Latvia of the program "RTR Russia". The decision took effect since April 12.

In 2015 SACMI once again documented serious violations in the transmission channel. Disturbed was how the Latvian law on electronic mass media, and the European Directive on audiovisual media services.

In Latvia the program "RTR Russia" is spreading from Sweden, where the holder of the authorization to broadcast is RusMediaCom, therefore, SACMI, observing the requirements of the Directive, sent reports about established violations, the Swedish regulator for broadcasting and "Russia RTR".
