According to Belgian media, the operation of transferring the suspect was held in strict secrecy at night on Wednesday.

Earlier, on April 8, the Belgian police announced the arrest of another suspect of involvement in the terrorist attacks in Paris and Brussels — Mohammed Abrin.

As already reported by DELFI, the result of a series of attacks on 13 November 2015 in Paris, killing 130 people. In March 2016 in Brussels was arrested abdeslem Salah, suspected of organizing the attacks. A few days after his detention at the airport of Zaventem and also at the metro station "Malbec" were arranged explosions. As a result of attacks killed 32 people, around 300 were injured.

Responsibility for the attacks was assumed by the terrorist group "Islamic state" (IG).
