The film "Dislike", which won the jury Prize at the Cannes film festival, will present the film Director Andrey Zvyagintsev, who, after the end of the session will hold a creative meeting with the audience.
One of the main roles of the picture were filmed by well-known Latvian artist Andris Keiss.
Please note that premiere in Riga will take place on September 23 in the cinema Splendid Palace in 17.00.
The film was screened on the first day of the Cannes film festival and immediately won the hearts of viewers and critics, remaining the undoubted favorite in all ratings. Strung and sometimes aggressive discussion of the film by Andrei Zvyagintsev once again showed what a unique place this Director is not only the most successful in the current Russian auteur cinema, but also are able better than others to beat on the sore spots.
"Dislike" is the story of one family, remarkably similar to many others. A man and a woman, who happened to be together. Constant search for love and happiness threw their arms around each other, but, having lived in forced marriage for over 12 years, they realized that they do not bind together. Each of them tends quickly to break free from a painful past, fully immersed in a new life, in which there is room only for one person — the son of from their unhappy marriage, a sad and silent Alyosha. And once Alyosha mysteriously disappears....
This is probably the most collected, solid and emotionally powerful picture Zvyagintsev. Despite the seeming neutrality of the author's approach, it is made with chuchkovskoi accuracy in psychological and domestic detail.
Speaking about the outstanding work of Andrei Zvyagintsev, can not forget about his talented team. Operator Mikhail Krichman whose quiet frames approximation ledent blood, production designer Andrey Ponkratov, whose the objective world does not allow for a second doubt the reality of what is happening on the screen, composer Eugene Galperin, whose powerful and concise musical theme opens and closes the film. And, of course, brilliant acting Maryana Spivak, Alexey Rozin, Andris Cassa, Matthew Novikova, Marina Vasilyeva and others.
